Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association of Alexandria, VA 250th Anniversary Muster

The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association, based in Alexandria, Virginia, is excited to announce the celebration of its 250th anniversary. This momentous occasion will be marked with a special non-motorized antique fire apparatus muster. Scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024, the event promises a unique showcase of historical firefighting equipment, including hand-drawn and horse-drawn hose carts, hose carriages, hand-pumpers, and other firefighting apparatus from the 1700s and 1800s.

This extraordinary display will take place in Alexandria, right in front of the historic 1855 firehouse, located at 107 South Alfred Street. The event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering a rare glimpse into the evolution of firefighting over the centuries.

Exhibitors are encouraged to begin setting up at 6:00 AM to ensure everything is ready for the start of the event. This will be a wonderful opportunity for enthusiasts and the community to come together to celebrate this significant milestone in the history of the Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association.
