WARRENTON, NC - World's record attempt at longest fire engine parade as part of the Thirtieth Annual Warren County Fireman's Day. About 120 pumpers and about 144 fire department vehicles participated.

ODHFS members attended the Annual Wings, Wheels, & Keels on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Topping, Virginia. There were 5 ODHFS members present with 7 pieces fire apparatus. The event was the largest that they had ever had.

The Society held its 2013 state-wide muster on Saturday September 21st at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. For our second muster this year the weather waited to mid-afternoon to change to rain. It was attended by 28 registered members from four of our regions.

Congratulations to Pete West who was notified in December 2012 that his recently restored 1931 Buffalo had been awarded a American Automobile Club of America (AACA) National Award. The award was presented in February at the AACA National Awards Banquet in Philadelphia.

The muster was held on Saturday 6/9/12 in Dublin, VA. The weather was pleasant this year with sun, a light wind and temperature in the low eighties. Attendance was increased significantly from recent years.
Long time ODHFS member Hugh D. Whitlow celebrated his 96th birthday on June 2nd, 2012. Hugh is a great supporter of the Society and has given us a great amount of archival material on Oren & Grumman apparatus.

February 4, 2012 The Pennsylvania Pump Primers Chapter of SPAAMFAA hosted the 2012 Winter Convention in Gettysburg, PA from February 1 through February 4. Fourteen ODHFS members and spouses attended the event.
Tommy wrote to tell us about the damage to his fire truck storage barn during Hurrican Irene. He also sent some photos that can be seen here. Here's his report: Saturday August 27, 2011 we had planned to take a couple of rigs to a local car show to raise funds for The Victory Junction Gang Camp.
