(VA) 2025 Oyster Festival Fireman’s Parade

On behalf of the Oyster Festival Foundation, the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department, Mike’s Custom Golf Car’s and Friday’s Malise Marine, I extend an invitation to your department to participate in the 2025 Oyster Festival Fireman’s Parade. This year’s Fireman’s Parade will be held Friday, November 7, 2025. The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m., rain or shine. The parade lineup and judging will occur between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the west side of town limits. All equipment will be judged at this time.

Trophies will be awarded for the following categories after the parade:

Best Appearing (1st & 2nd)   Pumper
Best Appearing (1st & 2nd)   Tanker
Best Appearing  (1st & 2nd)  Ladder Truck
Best Appearing  (1st & 2nd)  EMS Unit
Best Appearing (1st & 2nd)   Brush Truck
Best Appearing (1st & 2nd)   Specialty Unit
Best Appearing  (1st & 2nd)  Antique
Best Appearing (1st & 2nd)   Private Owned Antique
Best Appearing (1st)    Fire Department Overall
Judges’ Award (1st)
Greatest Distance (1st)

You must RSVP by October 24, 2025. Please call or send a text with the following information:

• The name of your department
• The equipment that your department is bringing
• The number of individuals attending the event from your department
• Your department’s email address for future use

This will ensure that we have enough equipment to fill all the categories above and food for everyone attending the parade.
