(VA) 2026 Fallen Firefighters & EMS Memorial Service
The Virginia Fallen Firefighters & Emergency Medical Services Memorial Service is held annually on the first Saturday in June. The 2026 ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, June 6.
This public event honors the bravery and sacrifice of Virginia’s fallen firefighters and EMS personnel. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be live-streamed.

ODHFS member-owned apparatus are encouraged to participate at the Memorial Service by joining fire and EMS apparatus that will be on display outside lining the roadway that families of the fallen will drive on as they arrive. Also there MIGHT be room for a limited number of antique apparatus to be on display inside the Richmond Raceway Expo Hall.
Apparatus on display outside must be in place by 10:00 AM. If you are interested in displaying your antique inside the expo hall you must arrive by 8 AM and plan on being inside the expo hall until at least 3 PM. If you are planning displaying an apparatus outside and/or interested in displaying an apparatus inside you must notify Floyd Greene (FloydPowhatan@gmail.com) no later than May 23, 2026.
