This 1968 Mack fire engine diligently served the citizens of Williamsburg, VA for 20 years and was then donated to The King & Queen Volunteer Fire Department where it served another 10 years. It then went into private ownership and in 2024 was donated to The Old Dominion Historical Fire Society (ODHFS), an educational, historical organization dedicated to preserving Virginia’s Fire Department history and is an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit incorporated in the state of Virginia.
The goal of the ODHFS is to restore this fire truck back to its original Williamsburg livery. Unfortunately, when the truck went to K&Q VFD, it was re-painted red. We estimate that it will take approximately $50K to restore the truck. Once restored, it will be on display in The Virginia Fire Museum and may be available for special events in Williamsburg for all to see & enjoy.
